many thanks to you all for your kind support,to many young people get a bad shout nowadays,but its us old farts that have got it wrong,i'm so glad i found your site as i dont think i could have done this without some help.My question is can i put a g40 engine in j's mrk2 as i remember him trying to find one.will be keeping the car looking as it is only better i hope with your help.will keep you all up to speed with progress (i promise)

course you can, well worth doing for some sleeper fun imo. Mk2 G40's are proper q cars.

Yep you can fit it.

It won't be as easy as putting it in a Mk3, there is a bit more wiring to do for example. But if you were to have an entire Mk3 G40 donor car then it would be relatively easy.
