its hard and fiddly and i broke the white plastic bit last time i tried. i would try get a complete mirror is a hell of a lot easier.

Well I got some wing mirrors off a scirocco and want to fit the polo adjuster off the spare onto a scirocco mirror.

Does the lens just pull out?

The glass doesnt pull off very easily as they used adhesive pads as well as having tight plastic tabs. New glass are £7 each

As I understand it, with the drilling of an additional mounting hole, the Rocco mirror will fit straight on a Polo.

Yea I know it will, but the problem is that the mirror was sold to me without an adjuster, and with the glass loose. So I need to fit an adjuster, and I'm assuming a polo one will work, otherwise I'm screwed :(

Rocco mirror cables are too short for the polo anyway, so do need changing. Prise the glass off gently, as said beware of double sided tape and platic tabs around the edge. I found it useful to have a set of long nose pliers handy to pull the cables out of the mechanism!
