Evening folks, its got ridiculous now, I was roasting in my car on the way home today! I thought it was an air lock making all the air into my car hot. It is a MK3 GT, i have done a couple of searches but am no more clearer of what i can do. If anybody could help me, i'd really appreciate it.

Mine still does this, but I haven't figured it out. I walk to work now so it's not that big a deal any more.

make sure the cable hasn't come off the back of the heater nob

If you remove the scuttle tray you will see the cable and you can adjust it there to see if thats your problem

Yeah,the rod is clipped onto the little tap on the water pipe,and this clip could've come off.

Its also possible the tap seized,and the rod was bent behind the dash last time the heater was switched over. There'd be a springy action to it,if this was the case,though.
