trial fitted the compos after stueyB's dad opened out the centre bore for me:

got an h&r cup it sat about waiting to go on, the list of parts needed is growing daily...

also have a 4th set of wheels for it...

gonna attack the other rear arch monday if the weather holds out.

get the garage back this weekend, then wings off, dash and remaining carpet out, bonnet struts fitted, change front pads, an pull rear beam off... hopefully...

no mate, pulled rear beam off to strip down, blast, paint and re-build, will put suspension on when its ready to go back on, fronts need new pads an TCA arms, steering bushes and wheel bearings, then my spare wings on and off to have all 4 arches done...

15x6 Et33 (formerly 56mm centrebore), will be running 5mm spacers all round to make sure they clear suspension wth 195/45/15's on...

i want to use full travel on suspension so rear arches will need...work. if you see the roads around my house you'd understand...

anyone know where i can get rear braided lines from? butchered flexis getting beam off and wanna upgrade, already got fronts on it...

jap fitment is 56mm centre bore 4x100, civics an stuff, seen a few other sets on ebay for alot more than i paid, with civics mentioned alot in the description... if you know a good machinist (or your mates dad is one :-D ) the 1.1mm you need off the centres is no big issue, and the lower ET helps clear suspension...

when i was 16, it was a sliver 2.0 5cyl, mint inside, only needed a pair of wings and some brakes an a service... sold it for £20 when i got my MK2. biggest car-related regret ever after writing off that jetta.

In this pic you can see a little patch on the rear pannel under where the bumper lives... looks like its had a knock before...

last sat i had a go at plastic welding (which failed) and then got cracking on removing the internal sound deadening:

finished, cleaned up with petrol, only remaining marks is wax seam seals (which is immune to petrol it seems) :
