I know your doing this as a laugh but if it was me i would be tempted to put the g40 valves in, could give more power and make it last longer. Depending on what the weak point will be, I'm guessing the bottom end,rods and pistons not being too happy

Its having a G40 head on with the sodium valves

Just use a proper bottom end and not have an engine that'll potential waste your hard earned cash?

a friend donated the bottom end and the head gasket set cost me 15quid lol

the whole thing is costing about 20 quid

and a good laff at the weekend

i've made the oil drain into my sump now and had a nut welded on my 4-2-1 just got to bolt it all together now i can't wait lol

Yeah, thats the one.. It never said mk2 polo when i looked last so i assumed it was a mk3! My bad!

The pistons are to close to the head for my liking so i'm aborting this mission lol i'm gutted i was looking forward to doing it too so onto the next thing can you do it to an abd bottom end?
