Black cloth tied to the back underside of cars.

Featured Replies

I've noticed recently a lot of cars with a black cloth hanging down on the rear bumper of some cars...

Anyone know what it means?

It means catain mi-nute and his tincy comrades can escape capture of the following Nast-ias and his horribly disgusting, evil terribles :-)

if its over the number plate probly means its stole or just done a hit an run lol

It means the car has recently been involved in another successful emo suicide.

Something got to do with a religion!??? I've only ever seen it on Sikh dubbers cars!

i was lead to believe its a hate symbol at white people, several muslims have them on their cars near me.

dead body in the boot?

Its mostly on Asian owned cars, i doubt its anything racist, my college tutor had it on his Tomcat and he was sound as.

Think it belived to bring good luck amoungst muslims and alike....sure its something like that anyways

Correct. It's believed to be a good luck charm. Some people hang shoes or a chappal apparently, but it's more prominent in countries like Pakistan than here.

Not everyone understands the different religions and cultures. Don't go down peoples throats just because what they've been told is a little bit wrong.

I think you need to drop the race card thing right now and stop using it as an excuse to kick off. People are meerly regurgitating what they've been told, why not educate them rather than kicking off and calling them racists?

yeah chill out a bit mate, hardly beeing raceist were they!

Chillax folks.

Any form of 'good luck charm' on a car scares the hell out of me.

Its quite important to take responsibility for your actions anyway, and especially so when in control of a vehicle. Not pass it onto some medium..

I know a car with a great big thing hanging from the rear view mirror 'God guides me' or some mentality like that. Well my first guidance is to get such a distraction out the drivers face.

Its a bit dumb to think that people who have a good luck charm don't think about there actions as much as people without them.

I have a lucky pink hippo on my dash, but that doesn't mean I drive with my eyes closed thinking "THE HIPPO WILL SAVE ME".

People don't rely on good luck charms, its just something that makes them feel a bit more comfortable.

its a bit like pre-match routines, the player knows that putting his left sock on before his right aint going to win the game but he'll still do it every game :lol:

this may sound funny but i think it may have something do with people who are superstitous (SP) to keep evil out etc

thats exactly what i heard aswell

no disrespect to anyone but that what id always been led to believe too..

Awesome.. My thread has turned into a hate thread! Thanks guys!

Not intentional though... I had heard it was something to do with the asian community, whether it be hate against white people or for good luck.. I just didn't want to post that just incase I'd been misinformed and be branded a raciest! I was just curious as a lot of taxi's in the area have them and I was scared a little bit!

i dont know what it means, but if it does mean hate to white people.....surely that is raceist to white people?

Yeah, it is.. But its just hear-say and we dont want to be starting a race hate thread or anything.
