how can it not be registered to anyone? surely if you're not the registered owner then the previous owner is?

thats what the police got on his machine and thats why i got pulled

but all sorted now after a call to dvla

I've recently had about twenty tax reminders for many different cars I've never owned.

To top it off, I had to reply to each one explaining that I am not the owner and have never owned the car in question..... I also had to pay for the postage which was more than £5.

The DVLA has since plagued me with letters saying they will get to the bottom of the matter.

To add insult to injury, the only reminder I did actually require never arrived.

Idiots.

i got a log book for a car i SCRAPED last year, came in post last month, even thought i have sent a log book off sayin it was scrapped aggggesss ago

I once got sent a logbook with my name on it as the registered keeper of an MG ZR :? I've never owned, bought, sold, driven or even looked at an MG ZR.

It makes you wonder how many people are registered as the owners of cars that belong to other people.

I wonder if you could register the vehicle as stolen due to these errors and legally steal someone else's car?

Its amazing as a car salesman how many people dont bother sending off their part of the V5 when p/xing a car and then come whinging they have got a speeding ticket or parking ticket on a car they dont own.
