Lido Green Mk1 Polo

The Homebrew Crew have got way too many projects, so unfortunatly, this one's got to go :-(

We picked this up from Kent when it had still got tax and test on and it drove a few hundred miles back to Derby, virtually none-stop without issue. Since then, we've had a good look round it, identified what needs doing, and stuck it in the lockup and never got round to it.

Make/ Model: VW Polo L

Year/Reg: 1980/ETC 528W

Mileage: 72345

Previous owners: 3 (elderly mother and daughter, and a VW fan before us who had it for a runaround for a few months)

MOT/Tax: :-(

Good points: This car is sold in all the right places, runs and drives well (had 86mph out of it for a mile or two on a private road ;), then took it back down to 60, which it happily cruised at all day). We've had the capets up and the bumpers off looking for nasty grot, and couldn't find anything serious. We've compounded it back in places and the colour came up well. Chrome is in good order (removed from car but included)

Bad points (what it looks like it needs to pass an MOT):

Rust to:

- Driver's inner sill

- Rear passenger wheel arch

- Rear driver's wheel arch

- Passenger side rear turret (far away enough from the top to make it an easy plating job)

Windscreen washer inoperative

Front passenger (99% sure it's this one) wheel bearing noisy

Location: In a nice dry lockup in Derby

Pictures: Loads! But I don't want to be a bandwidth whore, so click here for my photobucket.

Price: £500 ono 8-)including delivery by transporter within 50 miles of Derby, further afield by negotiation (won't be expensive), swaps, p/x's and whatever considerred, you know what we like!
