well I've gone and done it, I've gone air cooled. well half air and half water (still got the polo) and got meself a beetle.

its a 1302 of 1970 vintage so is tax exempt . had loads done to it in the welding dept so no worries there for a bit. got a few bits I'm going to take off and some bits to put on.

pics are from sunday when i went to look at it and it was a bit grubby, not now though :-D .

yeah, blade bumpers and whitewalls for now. got some wireing to sort inside as there is a bloody big sub and amp in there and I've seen better instalments before. going to keep it fairly standard as i like the look, some dash lights would be good.

drove it back from north wales last night and never missed a beat. took about 3 hours though

this wasnt too bad, got mot untill end of january, reciepts for shed loads of engine and body works, tax exempt so up you chooch mr brown and a few spare bits and bobs. all for not a lot o dosh. could do with a spray but I'm not that fussy, but will probably have it done over the winter.

thats sweet, going to keep it on steels i think with some shiney beauty rims on. put the chrome trim and running boards back on and get some bumpers. then save for a respray .
