The car is mechanically spot on and drives amazingly. it has a very slight miss fire on morning start up when the outside temperature is very cold. I have checked absolutly everything to try to fix this but I'm being really anal as it clears within seconds and the car drives faultlessly but i'm trying to cover everything here.

I am a complete fanny about this car, any amount of money is spent to keep it right!

i have a wallet of all the reciepts which i dare not count up

Bad points:

back box is non genuine g40 and will probably only last another year

With the body work

I'm going to be more critical than necessary.

The rear corner pieces below the lights have started to rust and need sorting. there is a couple of small dings (minor)

there are a few small bits here and there. but the car overall is structurally great with super straight sills. To make it totally concours mint it ideally needs a good strip down a full shoot and putting back together, and this is what i always wanted to do. the body itself is solid! the sills are great! (nobody is allowed to touch them with a jack!), the battery tray is totally rust free! Look underneath dash not a thing! inside the battery tray is full of waxoyl, replenished every year!

the main bits that need sorting are replaceable panels anyway. but if someone gives me 3k for the car i will include 2 new unfitted vag wings which is doesnt really need a passenger door and unfitted vag door pillar vinyls. ALL panels obviously TOTALLY RUST FREE!! for 100 quid extra. wings are 60 quid a side alone from vag.

the front bumper is badly faded and could do with replacing! i am sick of back to blacking it!

I cant think of anything else to say, this is one amazing G40 it just needs someone to finish the body work off and it will be even more amazing!! doesn't leak anything whatsoever! as far as I'm concerned its had all the money spent in the right places it just needs some one to detail it!

the grizzly bit...

I wont sell the car to just anyone, this is my baby, if i think for a second your gonna ruin it you wont buy it! that sounds harsh but i can afford to do that! the car deserves to be cherished and driven and enjoyed like i have done, not cut to bits, awfully modified/crashed due to negligence.

if i do sell it to you, you buy as seen you don't drive it home kick its head in wreck it and ring me cos you've bust it cos i will tell you to f**k off! any issues will be confirmed before hand as stated here.

with respect that there are examples that are in better (body wise or millage condition) popping up for 3.5k and bad examples or 'work needed/modified' examples for around the 2k mark i think my price is fair for an original in structurally sound condition with this sort of money spent with 6 months tax, ready to roll. admittedly at this very moment it needs one hell of a clean but nothing a good few hours can't sort, but i don't have time to do this every week when driven daily! but it will be done if someone comes to view.

Price...£2900 no offers.

well if it falls through for whatever reason it will be up on here. :-D

I can vouch for how tidy this car is. It's structurally sound, any blemishes are meerly superficial. Hope it stays local Dan and good luck with the sale.

cheers. by the way it now has early spec orange indicators back in and original bonnet lift not the chrome ones shown.
