Would you swop a G40 for this?

Featured Replies

Been browsing through my local forums and one of the guys is selling / swopping his car for something a bit smaller. Swop the G40 for it?

No shit! One in the boot and one on the floor behind the front seats + 2 car seats!

+ 3 doors = Fail when trying to get kids out of the car. Its not just prams its the 2 tonnes of stuff you have to take with you when you have kids its a nightmare when I take my niece and nephew out.

In terms of what there like we took one in part ex about 3 months ago and it was just like a impreza to drive in terms of power delivery and after driving both a impreza and the legacy GTB I would say its like driving an impreza but have the practicality of a estate.

I like estates. But tbh, I'd keep the G as a toy and get a TDI passat.

I'd get an estate...but not that one. Nothing really redeeming about Legacy at all...it is after all not an Impreza! No matter how much people want you think it shares the same genes.

hell no i would get a passat

Do it

It will be a damn sight more reliable

Passat tbh, and keep the G for weekends ;)

do it!

Why jump on the Impreza bandwagon?

Legacy is the dignified option IMO

And why go for the Passat? They are not all that tbh..

RS4 avant FTW

If the Legacy can do what the G does then you may as well swap, especial with the kids.

But your going to want the G back once you've done it lol

nah, stop being silly!

Do it

It will be a damn sight more reliable

An who said a G40 is not reliable?

Id agree with a few people on here get a passat an keep the G, you will only miss it when is gone!

would i swap my g40 for a farmer car with a big turbo bolted onto it, in a word, NO

No, I've spanked a couple of them legacys in the G, their shit.

Do it

It will be a damn sight more reliable

This is Andy's G we are talking about

I like my big Audi A6 Avant as an estate. I wouldn't bother trying to get a 'performance orientated' estate...it's still a huge barge. Best getting something safe/comfortable/economical.

Actually its been uber reliable recently - its always sat on the driveway - where it normally sits!

If i had kids then i'd be tempted to use something that would be a bit more sturdy in a crash than a G40 (sorry! but true!) Its a fast little car thats pretty much a bisquit tin.

It wouldnt be a legacy though, not really feeling that. We've got a Mk4 Golf TDI estate...we haven't got kids...just mountain bikes! And we go camping a lot.

:-)

It will be a damn sight more reliable

Exactly!

Jap crap, its the future!

i'd do it

not owned a g40 but I'm picking up a e36 bmw coupe tomorrow to replace my gt and even a week later after leaving a deposit on the bmw i have no regrets at all about having to sell my 16 year old granny mobile. if i had kids theres no way id cart them round in a mk3, especially seeing accidents like dubdans

but if you had kids in the car, surely that would make alot of us slow down and think alot more?

doesn't mean other road users will slow down and think alot more!
