Did you not sign up to 12 months insurance?

I would say that's reasonable as your the one terminating a contract early....

Actually I'm not sure how it works when you pay monthly.. but its still a contract I believe..

Annoying I bet!!!

Hi,

If i can have your client ref i can get the service team to call and go over the charges again with you.

Dan.

hmmm, i dont think that is too bad really...

Not bad at all really. I would say you got off lightly.

Thats the same with nearly every company.

Direct Line said its a 1 month penalty for cancelling, which for me is like £189.. ouch.

Yeah Admiral and all those are £45 i think. If you think each person is paid maybe £8 per hour and they spend various amounts working on your policy and sending it to you etc It adds up, they must round it up a bit but its not crazy.

I was quoted that i would get £400+ back from my insurance policy for doing my pass plus, i did the scheme, they sent me a refund for £190. the rest was there commision. over £200 commision? for what?

Tea Leaves.

there must be bloody expensive tea leaves these days!

I'd put it down to Fair trade n all that lol.

I'm hoping that i wont get stung for cancelling my policy after only 3months

thats a fair charge i think!

If you compare it to a phone contract where the cancelation fee is the total you would have had to pay to the end (i.e 6 months left on a £30 per month contract = £180 charge) its reasonable

I highly reccomend Adrian Flux for certain cars and people (they couldnt help me but were perfect for the missus and her Corrado)

lol.

they make me laugh.

I've been insured with them now for about 3 months. and they only took the 1st payment off me (I'm paying monthly)

Rang them up a few weeks back telling them and they had forgotten to set the direct debit up. said theyd fix it and take the money in 7-10 days... they said that 3 weeks ago and nothing has left my bank yet.

Free insurance FTW.

I've got both my modded G40 and my Quadbike insured with Adrian Flux

and can honestly say that i've never had any problems with them.

I had a Mk4 insured with Swinton and they wanted £50 to cancel my policy

on it.IThere was still 6 months to run on it and i thought £50 was not too

bad a price to pay....

  • 4 weeks later...

Still cheaper than paying off the rest of the instalments!
