was in halfrods today just haveing a browse with a mate and seen these "lowering spring clamps"

basicly ther just clams u put on the spring and tighten to lower the same as the tool you use to take off a spring in a garage!

how stupied can that be? or am i wrong

i mean surely they can just pop off! or cause some serious damage and make the car ride like shit!

Doubt they will be sold for road use, it says for shows etc... I wouldn't wanna run them on the road!!! There are a lot of stupid people out there however.

Suppose they are a good idea if you do just run them for a show because folk like me always want to be a little bit lower for looks. But I can see stupid people buying a few sets and using them to cheaply lower their car and run them for ages.

i had tried them on an older car before- take aqges to put on - looked shite - wouldnt bother again - they are meant for older ways of lowering springs etc and u can get blocks for when you are towing

I'm not into all this Corsa bashing - afterall,Corsa's and Polo's are related (VW used Opel wisdom to create the first watercooled cars,and the Nova/Corsa-A and the ohc was developed with some of VWs fresh found input).

But. My mum's low mileage Corsa-C went bang the other day - on a smooth road,the coil spring snapped for no reason,and went straight through the tyre. I wouldnt bolt clamps to them!
