i bought this a while back as a project car to bring back to its former glory, i have spent a lot more than i wanted to on it so far and I'm running out of cash for my very expensive garage bill which is ever increasing. i dont want to sell it but i need to so i can finish off my garage with the cash before the weather gets even worst and i can pay off bills for materials used. will be gutted to see it go as i bought this with an idea of keeping it for years, was even going to fit an LPG conversion to it which my brother has spare from his written off jetta.

bad points

ideally it needs a respray as there is a small amount of laquer peeling and there is a bump which needs to be done on the rear drivers 1/4. I'm not happy with the front arch as the plastic is cracked, and if i was to keep it i would also replace the wing along with the arch as the wing is the only rusty bit on the car i can see. the interior is mint apart from the 2 front door cards as the previous owner cut holes out for speakers and the door cards got wet because they removed the plastic behind the door card. the windscreen wipers sometimes come on if you hit a bump in the road which i assume is a dodgy connection.

good points

rare colour, new timing belt kit fitted, new fan belt, new spark plugs, new plastic sill fitted, new drivers and passenger suspension arms fitted with new bushes, new anti-roll bar links fitted. just passed mot with no advisories. feels quicker than my old vr6 golf. just been undersealed using tetroseal, new stainless steel fuel lines from fuel pump, new exhaust rubbers.

if i do the bodywork and respray i will be wanting a lot more than if it sells as it is because this is the only thing letting the car down and i cant really afford to get it sprayed

if sprayed will be looking for £2400 ono

if sold as it is looking for £1650 ono

willing to take px on something cheaper and vag

all these shots are before i have tcut and polished it, i will get some pictures up over the weekend when the car is polished up and bumper blacked up. does come up very nice indeed.
