I've still got a long way to go with this but thought I would post some pics up and show you what it's gone through.

got it totally standard

de-badged it etc and then bought a set of AP coilovers from venom.

had some rubbing issues cause of the gay tyres so it stayed at around 60-70mm down

Then it clicked and I decided i needed a 16v bumper in my life ( still needing a rear one )

needed some work done so me and my dad got cracking

it then looked like this after getting pressed plates and mk5 lights

came closer to edition38 and I really needed some wheels to compensate for the tacky front end ( primer bumper and wing for time being )

so bought these..

didnt fancy having a set of black wheels on an dark coloured car so I sent them off to be polished, ran into some problems and a change of plan came into place.

They arrived back to me at 14.00 friday afternoon ( cutting it abit fine ), still needed to get tyres fitted and balanced so I rushed out got them done.

I then got my gear packed up and headed for edition38 on my larry arrived pretty late after getting lost about 2 minutes down the road. bumped into some boys in a mk2 gti after following them thinking they was going to the campsite, ended up chatting to them in the carpark at tescos then following them up to the show ( cheers for that ! )

Big thanks to mike the polisher for sorting me out so close to edition38 , he must of thought I was crazy when I told him i wanted porsche viper green teledials, ended up with something similiar in colour as he didnt have that exact colour, they are a pretty rare colour of wheel and they're getting alot of attention ( good and bad ) but I love it and its all about being different IMO.

bought a debadged grill at the show and fitted it but I dont have anymore pictures atm

Bearing in mind I'm putting it in the bodyshop more towards the 15th of sept, funds are low atm which is why the bumper and wing are grey etc, getting the bumper smoothed and same with the tailgate inc vw badge, solenoid fitted, rear wiper removed and handle smoothed over, door handles colour coded and then i'll get the interior sorted.

Lowering it more at the front sometime this week, and the back can come down a tad to try and sort out the stance !

ps - sorry to anyone I woke up at edition38 on the saturday night , all I can remember is low riding round the campsite quite late with my mates shoutin pure abuse and lots of horn treatment

Yeah definately, I'm thinking about another set of show wheels though and running these as winters, maybe some gotti's or work equip 03's :-)

25mm on a 52.3 offset which brought them down to around 27 et I think, not poking either which i wouldnt want as their only 7's and would look (gay)

Cheers dude, If i'm honest i'd rather a 3 door, Lol, lowered the front another 30 mm last night and looks alot better, need to de-wiper the rear and get it ready for going into the bodyshop near towards the 15th. will get some better pics up later

I think Telidials work well on a mk4 but that green colour on purple just looks terrible imo.

Being different is all good and well, but its not everything. I could go take a turd on my roof and lacquer over it, it would be different, but it doesn't make it good!

Dubmeister, they fairly subtle but didnt want the grief of getting pulled for the german font or any of the gay GB or D logos people usually have. Order them quick as I've heard they'll stop selling them soon?!

Wheels look sick on the car mate, bet you get loads of people giving weird and wonderful looks.

some chavs in a 206 nearly crashed into the back of someone on the m1 on the way to edition staring at my wheels, there wheels locked up n smoked bad, I shit myself when it happened cause they were in the lane next to me and could of swerved or skidded into me, i laugh at it now though

their good for the money, my mate has H&R's on his golf and he agreed about the decent ride comfort in mine, I know someone with the ta-technix his is a little lower than how mine is and mine seems to stiffen up and handle far better when comparing them
