8-) cheers dude, and you do know what you have to build up the bottom corners below th elights and swop to mk5 lights without the trimming, I'm just making sure you know before its too late and its fitted

that confused me dearly? lol what do u mean buddy? front lights or rear lights? =S ah I'm soooooo confused lol

right to fit a mk5 bootlid, you have to fit STD mk5 rear lights, do not trim them around the edges to fit a mk4 !!!where you usually trim at the bottom so its fits with the shell you then have to build that part of the shell up flush with the lights. weld sections in e.t.c

its quite involved but its definatly worth it, hope that makes more sense

does the gti sit on the 8v engine mounts? Anything you found being a tight squeeze? If you had to do it again would you change the way you done it etc?

  • Author

well u have to use the gti mount but it sits perfectly on the actul car mount itself! looks sex!

haha after the front end was on... offt manifold is like 3-4inchs fom the rad :L awsome!!

well firstly, i would find out all the wiring i dont need and get it all takin out as theres so many damn cables there I'm not using! like all the abs ones and so forth! 2ndly i would of had an engine lift from day one lol 3rdly i'd check the god damn manifol fitted the 8v straight through lol instead it swallows it haha ah well but in all the way i done it.... I'm fair chuffed with myself for never doing an engine conversion before and being a righ noob at it :D learn by doing.

oh oh omg pedal boxis a feckin night mare! i cant get it onto the steering colum? duno if thats what its called but I'm sure u all know what i mean? its so fidgity and a pain in the mother fookin arse!

apart from that... bring on the fun :D

cheers,

Andy
