Thought I'd stick up a few pics of my new loon.

Had it just over a month now. Was out of the country for 8 months, arrived at Heathrow with loads of big bags needing a motor. Checked the internet and this had just gone on Gumtree London. Stuck the bags in storage, got the tube to Bethnal Green, paid the £180 the guy was asking and drove back to get my bags. Quite a result.

NZ 1300, I'm finding it surprisingly nippy - but I've not driven a GT for about 9 months now.

Was standard when I got it. I added a H&R cup kit, with the back on the lowest setting and the -10 lowering caps on the front. should be around 70/60 drop now, all thanks to PhilJ of course.

Also got a badgeless grill from Phil and wheels from Benbrew on here. They are Melber (?) with 185/50/14s. Probably not to everyone's taste, but I really like them. Set of GT clocks now in there too, thanks to Simon1 on here.

Cleaned it up, air filter and oil, stuck some sound I had lying around in it, and then have piled on nearly 5,000 miles in 5 weeks, including a fully loaded quick dash to the south of France.

So far I have had to top up the washer bottle once, but not had to do anything else. So far it is the most reliable car I have ever owned!

Immediate plans are to sort out some dodgy two tone paintwork, and now to repair a dent tin the back which I managed to do parking. Rather late at night and I think I forgot it was the saloon, not a coupe or squareback... When it is looking smart I'll be after some brake and engine mods. 4 branch, chip, possibly cam etc. But nothing that messes up the fuel economy - with the miles I am doing I need it to run as cheap as possible.

i like it mate, one of my favourite record labels is good looking records (good looking organisation) so yeah GLO in my opinion is a good plate!

Cool! And my female mates seem to like it as it is a 'happy' sounding plate or something (?!).

Good looking is bukam's label is it not? In on eof the many crates of vinyl that are currently lying around my parent's house there are one or two really early Good Looking 12s.. when there was still quite a happy hardcore influence going on! you've reminded me to dig them out and give them a play.

you might wanna lift your carpets up and see if its 2 polos welded together! the front looks like steel blue and the back looks like medium blue. perhaps its just the light?

Ha! Ta mate, I had the same worry when I first saw it.

Luckily the floor is all cool, and it is only above the bump strip that it is a lighter blue. On both sides, but not at the back. Someone has touched up both upper rear side sections. It's not the worst paint job, and they have blended it going up to the roof at the back quite well, but the paint is clearly the wrong shade! That's the two tone paintwork I want to sort when funds allow.

i know what you mean - when i bought mine there were maybe 2-3

now a a good while on and their every where lol - still as long as you keep them personalised
