Vw Polo 6n Open Air Electric Sliding Sunroof

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

This is the sunroof from my polo open air, it works perfectly and slides effortlessly, the mechanism is in perfect working order and the roof is dark blue in color. The only bad points are that it has two tears towards the rear of the roof, one is very small and barely noticeable the other slightly bigger, roughly 3-4cm in length.

The sunroof did not leak when it was in my car, but for reassurance I covered the tears with industrial use flashing tape. Then covered this with some duct tape to disguise it, however you can buy repair patches in the correct color and material for a perfect blend.

These are £600 new from vw and used ones sell all day long at £200+ they are perfect for people with broken mechanisms whos roofs fail or people with leaky sunroofs and are looking for the 'open air'

I'm based in West London, jc3 of the m4 and would prefer collection, but I can post at extra cost but I will have to look into this.

For a quick sale I'm looking for £80

interested in this geeza, how come your sellin it? an how easy isit to remove/fit

mines fooked :(

I'm a bit of a perfectionist and wanted a mint roof, so spent £200 on a replacement! Just selling this to recoup some cash and soften the blow of the dent it left in my wallet.

It's very east to fit, swapped mine in about 3 hours and only got someone else to help me put the new one in position. All you do is undo all the handles, sunvisors and lift the A, B and C pillars and then drop the headlining. There are about 18 torx screws which you remove and 2 screws for the motor, the metal frame that bolts to the bottom of the roof drops and then you just lift the roof out of position.

If you buy it and get stuck, seen as your local I'll give you a hand.

Hi there,

Could I ask please where you managed to get a new one for £200? I have a black roof also with rips in it and would like to get it sorted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi, Where did you get a roof for £200? I need a black one, could you let me know please? Cheers,

Paul

 A friend was breaking his after someone wrote it off. No idea where you can find another one because I wasn't looking for one, the opportunity just came up.

This is my poorest effort of making a sale but if anyone is inerested I've still got this, need to clear the space now, stored it for long enough.

Only kept it on the off chance if anything happens to mine I could use it as a spare but looking to sell up soon so no longer needed.
