I believe you'll be after the carrier from an Early Audi 80/90/5 cylinder from around 1985/1986, but dont quote me on that as I'm not 100% sure on the exact years

VW Part number 853 615 125 (however they are about £137 each from VAG)

They are really difficult to come by, as i have been trying myself but think i have just this weekend hit lucky with someone breaking a 5 cylinder.

For a full list of what cars these carriers are on go to www.vagcat.com and type in the part number in the part number search box and bobs your uncle.....then its just finding someone who is breaking that particular motor.

Hi, having recently done this coversion myself an sourcing the carrreirs was a nightmare, I have just been cruising eBay and check this item number out 290262406832. It states that the measurement accress the strut mounting bolt holes as 75mm, however i think if you emailed him asking to measure it more accuratly then he would say it is 76mm....which in that case, the carriers and calipers (girling 54) would bolt onto the mk3 g40.

(please note i wont be responsible if they are wrong....just do a bit of homework and some emailing and u cant go far wrong)

Just a pointer if your still up for doing the conversion.

Anyone please post up if any of the info i have put is incorrect.

That ebay item posted earlier should be the correct carriers, definatly the correct calipers though.....buy them!
