With all the rain we've been having lately, I've had terrible trouble with my windows steaming up.

All cars get steamy windows,but this is not your average steam.Literally seconds after I get into the car, my windows start fogging up, and it gets so bad that it's a real danger.

Today, I was driving along with my friend in the passenger seat, and she had to wipe the screen for me every 30 seconds or so so that I could see, and that was with both windows open 3 inches.

My blower doesn't work, but that can't be the whole story, the misting is just too severe for that to be the only reason and I have been driving with my windows open.

I've checked to see if my carpets and seats are damp, but they seem fine.

I've been told that it could be something to do with the pollen filter, does this sound right?

I was thinking of taking the filter out and just putting the empty frame back in to maximise the airflow until I can fix the blower, would this work?

Also, I've checked the fuse for the blower and it's fine, so what should I check next? Could it be the resistor, or is it more likely that the blower unit itself is dead?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm honestly afraid to drive my car until I get this sorted.

When it's dry, clean your windows, wait til they're dry, get a potato, cut it in half and wipe it across the glass.

Haven't got a clue why it works, but it's better than RainX.

You've got a leak then. Mine was leaking water through the bracket that bolts the boot on, under the headliner! there was mold under there lol!
