how hard are the wings to take off mate if you got 5minz could you pm me and tell us how thye come off save me fighting away trying to get them off without knowing how thanks dan

Not yet on the calipers!

Wings, umm, 5 or so bolts on top of the wing, take the bumper off couple roun there, a screw which attatches it to the bit under the lights, arch liner out if fitted, and then 4 bolts iirc to the bulkhead area.

Been busy as of late.

What started out as a simple dash out to weld up the battery tray, has ended up..well like this..

Found some of these..

Stripped all the tar shit off the floorpan.. Then got bored and stripped it some more.

And more..

Basically turned into a full on bay smoothing.. so yeah, more progress soon.

And you said I have OCD... :)

Yeah, be worth it tho, still not done the battery tray tho!

Update...

Have been recovering from having my tonsils out..(stopped dribbing blood now:D) (not reccomended) so not touched it in a week or so, here's a few off the camera from previous weeks tho.

Started on the filler work,

Which is going well, just takes forever!

Then decided to actually get on with the main reason I stripped it..

Rusty mess of a battery tray..

After all the crusty poop was cut out

Slowly reconstructing what was once there

Such a pain in the arse job, that ended up taking most of the day after faffing around with compressor/small cut off saw trying to trim it all up and make repair pieces!

Gonna trace the hole thats left, now and fill that in with some fresh steel.

About it for now, got my eye on a huuge compressor on the bay, and a devilbiss GTI for some diy bay painting!

Update!

Pay is in done in white, took me a couple of attempts but looking sweet now, needs a polish but plenty of time for that.

Stripped, all sounds deadening removed, filled, primed, sanded..and painted inside

Pedal box back in, brake lines being run:

Engine, stripped, cleaned, new cambelt/water pump, and everything painted in 2K

Last night was modifying the loom so it can be run out of sight, behind inlet etc

Throttle Body + inlet back on:

Next will be to connect up all the suspension, wire it up, and dash back in after some flocking!

Wasnt sure on the grey at 1st.. but that last picture, it works so well.

The last picture is more like the actual colour, the other pictures went a bit weird with the colours in the developing!

Not an amzing update but have spent the last few evenings sorting out the wiring.

As standard runs accros the chassis legs, I want it all hidden, and have oviously welded up all of the bulkhead holes.

Many hours of loom stripping, extending cutting and soldering etc and its almost there.

Both headlight feeds are down eitherside under where the wings attach..

All engine plugs have been cleaned and wrapped with braid+heatshrink.. takes ages!!
