I've changed the gearbox on my polo, the new box is an older model as i understand it, so as such the selectors don't fit straight onto the box. Instead, the lad i bought it off from here, had made up some brackets for it to fit. I presume he had it running right, but i've fitted the selectors, and now reverse goes in fine, 1st gear slot is also reverse, 2nd gear has moved slightly to where it used to be, 3rd can either be the 3rd gear slot on the gear knob or 5th, fourth is fine and i can't reach 5th because the gear stick won't allow it.

Any suggestions? this is really getting me down.
