EDIT: I PASSED.... with just the 1 minor.

Not driving the polo yet asd the engine isnt running right, so I'm off out in the mini!!! (which is also a new purchase and project...!)

So glad to get it done and out the way, now i can really enjoy my cars...

I was failed!!!

We have a examiner called NO PASS PARKER.... and i had him.

Everything was fine... i had 3 minors as i was pulling in to the centre to finish, but the centre is treated as a t-junction. There was lots of traffic coming away from the centre as i was coming towards it, a woman flashed for someone to pull out of the test centre, and they did so, without looking causing me to brake sharply and getting a major on preparation and awareness!!!

He was nice enough to explain it all though and said that other than that he really did want to pass me as everything else was fine. The minors and majors were all caused my someone elses driving...just a shame really, as because they werent driving how i have to drive to pass, i end up failing.

Oh well, there is next time.... but the wait is nearly 9 weeks unless i can get a cancellation!!

i thought if u do you are test and fail u can do it in 10days and u dont have to wait

they are really strict at the moment. You can get a minor for pretty much anything. i doubt it will be long before they start getting the tape measure out for reversing round corners and making sure you are EXACTLY in the middle of your bay park!

One of my minors was for the fact that my hands left the 10-2 position on the steering wheel whilst using a mini roundabout! its so much easier and safer to control if you dont have to pass the wheel between your hands! but then i dont make the rules....

I'm not too sure on how long it takes for the re-test but he said something about the 10day thing but i dont know...

I'm a bit gutted as you would be, but its not the end of the world and i will just have to try again!

i never understand these fail posts, he failed you for a reason, he is the one who knows how to drive!

Maybe go away and tell your instructor the situation, and say what should i have done, and he will tell you exactly.

Shame you failed yes, but thats because you cant drive, quite simply!

I'm more of the type of person to keep my opinions to myself... infact the only way i would accept what you are saying is 1. if you were in the car...2. you could prove to me that you are THE best driver or passed perfectly with no faults at all.

I understand what you are saying, but i also know exactly what happened. Yes i failed because I did something wrong, but where did i say that it had nothing to do with me?... i think you'll find i was also as close to a pass as i could have got today, but at the same time half of it is luck...

How did you know that i was too close to the car in front? Infact there was no car in front... The car that put the problem infront of me to which i reacted wrongly... was another test driver pulling out from where i was going in. She pulled across in front of me as i was pulling in and cut on to my side of the road...I'm probably doing about 3mph because I'm turning a sharp 90deg corner.

I'm quite happy to admit i failed, otherwise i wouldnt have posted on here....so basically i think your comment is complete bollocks and based on pretty much nothing...

Would you accept it if for instance if you had a crash because someone pulled out on you that you werent expecting to do so and i said that you clearly cant drive?

I will hold my hand up and admit that my rant is due to being a bit sore over the whole failing thing as i was trying to pass, not to fail, but i dont really think a comment like that was needed... at the end of the day we're all drivers and should surely be trying to look out for each other...

sounds vaguely familiar as that was what my gf did 3 months back only she didn't stop in time and wrote off my 6n on the rear of a 57 reg shitvic

at least you stopped before testing your airbag

Since when have all the examiners been 100% reliable?

I had the eviliest bastard ever (or so the legend was) he was kool with me though, i passed first time.

It must be a crappy feeling when you see all these imcompitent drivers on the road and they have their license.
