From a scrappy, they'l have bloody loads.

I've got halfords and draper trolley jacks, both were around the 20 quid mark. Draper (from local motorfactors) fits under lower cars better, but takes more pumps to get up than the Halfords one. Basic Clarke one at MachineMart is just over £20 too, doubt you'll find much cheaper.

I want one of them quick lift ones next, or maybe one of these

cool, anyone know if lidl are still doing dirt cheap ones@?

Not being funny or anything but shouldn't you be looking into say a stronger, expensive and more reliable car jack if you've just gone and broken one?:lol::lol:

well my mate broke it (typical!) lifting his 5 door astra G so i think most cheapies will handle my polo

ask him to buy you a reasonable priced one to compensate for any damage like that happening again in future?

perfectly reasonable idea.

We've got a quality lightweight alloy jobbie at the unit. Its the tits. I think there quite expensive though.

I got a 2tonne trolley jack from Aldi not long ago. £10! Does exactly what i need ie lifts a polo with ease.

aldi always have randomness for dirt cheap!

i jus go round my uncles :)

he has some lightweight racing one,

only guy i know brings a jack an a impact gun back from the states,

then gets my cousin to bring some throttle bodies over for him lol

I've got that kit, just clarke and not RAC (guessing they are exactly the same though)

Either way, its great for the price.

and the crawler thing is probably the best thing in the set haha. makes life so much easier.

oh and the magnetic dish is probably the most useful thing I've ever spent my money on

i like the idea of the rac jobbie but crawlers dont work to well on gravel drives!

Still.. when most jacks come in at £20 on there own, your only paying a fiver extra and getting a load of other usefull stuff!

plus a big box to maybe post something in lol

if i'm gonna be under the car for any more than 3 seconds i'm not gonna be using a 20quid jack! cheap jack is fine but get some axle stands aswell.

I use axel stands obviously lol

if i'm gonna be under the car for any more than 3 seconds i'm not gonna be using a 20quid jack! cheap jack is fine but get some axle stands aswell.

why?

if it can lift it, it can hold it.

all you gotta do is make sure it wont slide out again

what if a seal bursts and it falls down due to the poor quality of the materials used

Same applies then, you can't lift it - and your chest won't hold it.
