I assume you are taking out a policy in your Dad's name with you as a named driver. If you use his 9 years no claims he normally can't insure another car using the same no claims. (although some insurers will match the no claims on a second car if you insure both with them)

Mines £500 fully comp. Couldve found better I suppose but it's easier using the same company. Wouldve been £1200 if I put the other half on as a named driver!

I payed £3,200 on my old golf at 17! :( Was a 1.6 driver!

Then it went down to £2,300 when I turned 18...

Now I've got a 1.0L polo, still £150 a month...Because I stayed with direct line so I get my NCB next year!:(

And I've just bought a 1.3 mk2 golf yesterday, insurance on that is £175 a month! :( I HATE insurance! Lol
