Hi all, just hoping to generate some interest, get a feeler on what you all think its worth, I'm not in any hurry to sell.

I'm downgrading unfortunately to something 1 litre, saving bigtime for a minter G40 i think, so need something really cheap and economical to run! and boring and slow to drive! snore.....

So its a 1991 Hreg 1.3 Polo GT, in light blue. I have owned the car since last december, and in that time it has been fantastic, for sure the best car i have ever owned, never let me down, missed a beat or had any trouble what so ever with it!

Since owning the polo I've changed the standard steelies for 13" BBS RA'S, from a G40, and replaced the two front tyres for YOKO A539's these have covered less than 500 miles. the two rears also have loads of tread.

Its also been lowered on philj shocks and springs, 60/60. It now handles like a go-kart :-)

And i also upgraded the standard exhaust with a G40 centre section and twin exit performace exhaust. This is currently not fitted, but when it is it gives an enormous boost to the bhp! whilst sounding fantastic

So its covered 114,182 miles and i put it through the MOT on monday, which it passed, of course, after a bulb and drive shaft gaiter were replaced. So it now has a full years MOT, and tax untill the end of november.

Its getting a service tomorrow also.

The timing belt was replaced last july, by the previous owner, with the recipt to prove.

The body work is in good nick, not perfect, but good enought for me! and the interior is perfect, no cig burns, rips tears or anything to speak of. And there is also a panasonic cd player fitted.

The bbs ra's and the exhaust would be an optional extra! as these could be sold separately, so it would come with standard steels and exhaust

So maybe make me some offers, get in the queue! I'm in the process of looking for a new motor, would consider swap for something in equally good condition and cheap to run, with some cash coming my way too!

whats wrong with the drivers side part of the front bumper amte? clip snaped or something?

yer its been like that the whole time I've had it, doesnt bother me! just needs a bracket in there holding it up properly

I'm pretty darn close to you and craving a GT for a bit more fun. Have you found a car to replace it yet, i've got a red 1 litre mk3 i've had for 2 years that's never had a problem. It's got a dent in the side but i don't want much for it. Would you be interested in a part exchange? How much extra would you want for the BBS wheels and what are the tyres like on the steelies?

H*** ERP cars are VW UK registered, but mine was made in June 1991, that's about 8 months after the car was launched isn't it? Hope they weren't press cars. Maybe they were launch cars for the GT? Dealer demonstrators.
