I've just got round to debadging the Polo

AND

Travelling to Bristol DVLA office to assign my new Personalised plate!

Why lose the surround though.. its mint!

get the number plate holders from mercedes. i hear you just walk in and say that you've smashed the ones on the car "at home" and they give you a new set for nothing!

you do need to make a key to get them open though...
