Hey all, having some problems with my mk3 coupe!

I turn the key and sometime you cant hear the fuel pump turn on?

I've bin told its likely to be the fuel pump realy, but sumtimes even when you hear it come on it still wont start?

Where is the fuel pump relay located?

In the scuttle panel, passenger side.

There are 2 relays there, my mind has gone blank & I can't remeber which one it is.

I'm sure the fuel pump wire is the red/yellow wire .......i will check laters

It's the yellow fuse in mk2s?? I'm having same problem 

its the 4 pin relay...can replace with a generic relay off the shelf , just check the diagram /pinout is correct

 

can also try bridging the 2 wires quickly with a bit of wire and 2 spades to see if they run well ...proves the wiring and pump is fine if so
