1997 P-Reg SEAT Ibiza 1043 MPI

3 doors, green.

Tax/MOT: 31 OCT 08.

Mileage: 61,000

PRICE: £400 ONO

GOOD POINTS:

1. Last serviced Apr 08

2. Four new tyres Jul 08

3. Cambelt changed Nov 07 (it was still on the original!)

4. New exhaust rear section Oct 07 for MOT.

BAD POINTS:

1. Front left wing is dented due to a bicycle hitting it; still functional and painted but not hugely pretty.

2. Exhaust manifold is slightly noisy due to being slightly warped. Temporarily fixed by fitting a new gasket during the service since he didn't have a replacement in stock but it no doubt needs adressing for complete piece of mind.

3. Wiper speed settings became eratic this summer; temporarily removed the relays for intermediate speeds so at the moment only has two settings: off/fastest. I think this is the stalk mechanism.

BACKGROUND: Car was handed down to me from my gran when I left university in 2005. It's been mostly used in and around Bristol and for trips back and forth to Pembrokeshire; nothing particularly strenuous.

BAD CAR FOR: Me! I work long hours but am finally earning enough money for a car the "just works." I no longer have the time, patience or admittedly even skill to mess about and sort the above problems.

GOOD CAR FOR: One of you! Maybe a mechanic who needs something solid but cheap and cheerful for his son/daughter?

EDIT: Pictures added below; the light was being a bit funny, the car is definitely green not the blueish you see in the photos. Also a pic of some arch rust appearing on the rear arches. Please excuse the dirt, car needs cleaning (this weekend maybe...)
