hi guys anyone tell me the easiest way to remove my polo mk2 steering wheel???

yank the cover off the center ...usualy comes off by hand

then remove the big center nut ...anticlock wise to looosen

Quick tip:

Leave the centre nut on the last couple of turns, and hit the wheel from the back to take it off the spline, then remove the nut and the wheel altogether. That way you don't smack yourself in the mouth with the steering wheel when you pull it off without the nut in place.

Hell leave the nut on it or you get a fat lip for sure

Once or twice, yes.

Or you can pretend to yark it really hard, at which point someone will want to come over and prove they are more manly than you. They'll yank it and idiot themselves in the face.

got a wheel for a coupe s an the spline is diff size.

so wots the easiest way to sort this?

If they're both MK2's,then you'll have to swap the steering column's aswell. The pre-'86 columns are a different design,but they're interchangeable. The later telescopic one is better.

Not a job for a novice,though.

does the spline adaptor not come off?

so if you have the small splines then buy an adaptor , and if you have the adaptor and want to use a small spline wheel then get a puller to take it off
