Featured Replies

No mate, its audi alluminium silver. thats only one coat though so it should be a better finish than that

Cool, you had me a little worried back there  second coat should look mint, how much longer for the subframe etc.

Couple more coats on the wheels over the last few days, will get some pics up soon.

Got some G40 callipers too, £25 but they are in desperate need of a lick of paint

Wheels look sick mate i really like them !

Have you got Brake pads for your VW11'S ? I had a right problemo as the pads are diffrent per year of car think there are 3 diffrnt design's dependant on the age of the car the caliper was origionally on ..

Thankyou, not 100% sure yet, they're 6J x 14 so i was thinking 195/45 or 185/45

What do people think / recommend?

sweet rims 8-)

Cheers, quite rare too from what i can gather, i have found only 2 sets other than mine and one was in america. Dont even know what car they came on to be fair!

Got 2 coats of laquer on tonight and they look sweet, few more coats and i should be done...one wheel!

You'll have to pop over sometime next week and we'll have a crack at it

185/50 :D

i've had 185/55 firestones and they are a little to big imo, also had 195/45 falkens and they were a little harsh on the ride due to the short sidewall. both gripped excellently with a koni/eibach kit and subframe.

185/50 is probably a good medium.

renegade, please PM me the part number for the rocker seal and where you got them from! desperate!

cheers

Rick

and also if you are using the subframe do you still need the antiroll bar blocks? if not fancy selling to me?

i thought 185/50 were a bit of an uncommon tyre size, surely with a price to match!

strong work tho

I ran P6000's on 185/55 gripped like an imigrant to a lorry!

Loving the build thread BTW :D

I find 185/55s a little big on Polos, and you can still really feel them flex compared to slightly lower profiles

dude if i sell my castalettes without tyres you can have teh dunlop d4s 185/50s for cheap =]
