Sorry guys I couldn't find a topic on it!

I'm looking to buy a mk1 POLO, I'm currently looking at one on e-bay! It's a 1.0 and not very special, I'm a big fan of the gt engine and would like to know if it's possible without too much trouble to shoehorn one in?

Will there be much in the way of having to change mountings? and was wondering if anyone has achieved this conversion? :-)

I'm sure the GT lump will fit in the golf bay. Infact, i'm sure its been done many times.

The home brew lot are doing exactly this to a MK1 at the moment. The engine mounts are identical so no worries there, although you'll have to play with the wiring. Try PM'ing either grungeisdead, charlie, karl or yeti for more info
