Cheers,

So these cars will have the 280mm brakes on??

Already got the 256mm conversion on it and got the carriers from an old audi.....these surely are not the same? Are they??

These all have the bolt on 256mm brakes, which you already have then.

You will probably need to look at a TSR conversion for a mk1 Golf or Scirocco if you want bigger than that.

What's the engine?? :ninja:

or use vauxhall stuff. I've got a full kit on ebay off my mk1 golf at the mo.

I've never seen any way of bolting g60 calipers onto a mk3 polo, I don't think a suitable carrier exists. The 280mm conversions I've seen before just use the original 239mm calipers with spacer plates to move them out so 280mm discs fit under.

Well that what i was thinking because it already has the 256mm upgrade on it i may use some MK1 golf adaptors to take them to 280mm.....

shall see what i can find.

Cheers for all's input

Iv done it - but have my own "home brew" coilovers and use an adapter which converts to spacing of the caliper over to fit the calipers.

However i do believe the adapters do not fit polo coilovers as it fouls the hub/strut.

- TSR did a spacer which converts the standard mk1 golf/g40 caliper across 20mm allowing them to fit with 280mm discs.

i believe LregG was selling them a while back.

i can take a photo of my setup if you wanna see how i did it.
