i bought a 80/60 suspension kit for my mk2 a couple months ago but for some reason i just dont think the front is anywhere near down 80mm, I'm happy with the back but the front seems to have only come down just over 50mm....?

here are a couple pics of my mk2 breadvan with said 80 front/60 rear kit with the rear spring seats on the highest notch, and 175/50/13 tyres...

also, the engine is only a 1.0 with a 4 speed box... can this have anything to do with it not bein down 80mm?

any help or comments on the car welcome.

yes mate that looks fucking pimp. but were the starmags off a mini or proper vw fitment and offset? whats it like for scrubbing on the back?

You could get some lowering top caps will bring it down a few more mm. Depending on how long the kit has been on your car the shocks may need time to bed in.

hmmm... dare i say it but that looks more 60mm... I'm sure stevie woudl clear this up abit better as he has a 80/80 kia

That looks about right mate heres mine when it was 80mm downl, its abit lower now though lol .

the wheels are mini fitment, 4x101.6 no idea what the offset is although i have checked all the wheels and the only number i can find close to what would look like an offset number is "02"!!!

tyre profile is 175/50/13

the rear springs are on the highest notch at the back, iv cut, rolled AND pulled the arches (not the best mind you) and it still rubs! i cant take any passengers!!

i hve been able to get a shot of an arch roller though so will see if i can get the rear arches out a bit more :-D

iv also just fitted some "cut to size" mk2 golf front arches to cover the slightly illegal poke of the front wheels

I'm also seriously thinking of cutting one coil off the bottom of the front springs!, one coil means the spring will still be secure and done in a way that its not in any way dangerous :-D

Always get some more pics up mate. Can never have too many pics. The front is never as low as you want it. Think someone overestimated the weight of these little egg box engines. Cut a coil off
