Right peeps,,need some help.

I've seen 6ns with rear discs before and have wondered how for a while,,now i know you can transfer the rear beams from a gti over,,but I've recently heard somewhere that the rear setup off a mk2 golf gti would work also,is this correct and if so what exactly would be needed to do this???

Also if anyone has any other suggestions on how i cuod go about this please let me know as these bloody drums are driving me insane.

You just build it up from the stub axel(i think thats the name) upwards

If i remember correctly the tdi and gti came with rear disc's and as mentioned above you just build it up from the stubb axle. if you search for it, I've seen a how to guide some where. In regards to MK2 golfs parts No idea, if you can get it all cheaply, you may as well give it a go

the beam from a 6n2 won't fit a 6n. everything bolted/clipped to it does.

get the full beam and use;

stub axles

hubs

discs

calipers

carriers

backplates

brake line (clipped to beam)

flexi brake hose from caliper

6n2 gti handbrake cables

and abs sensors if your 6n is running abs.

tou can use mk2 golf stuff but tbh by the time you messed about getting all the other bits it's easier to buy a full gti beam looking to pay £150 the lot really.
