Hello

Surely you have this the wrong way round, A polo or a golf is probably more expensive than a focus!

P.S

We will all be bias on the Club POLO forum to buying a Polo or at least VW.

hes just wetting himself as her reply it was quite amusing to be fair.

Which focus are you thinking of getting? we had a mk1 2 litre ghia and it went well, had proper good handling out of the box. I was going to have it as my first car but my rents ended up getting a sweet cost of change on a new car so i got shyed out of that and then they bought me a fiat cinquenceto sporting hahaha. epic fail. wasnt yellow at least

How much have you got to spend in general? And how old are you for insurance purposes as if your under 21 its going to be expensive to get insured on a higher powered car, so it may be better plumping for a smaller engined model and getting some good driving experience in whilst racking up the no claims bonuses.

mk4 16v Valvers are reasonably fast, they have 100 brake and arent terribly heavy, the mk5 have a 75bhp and 100bhp 16v versions as well as the GTI's which are 125bhp. but hte mk5 is heavier so i dont know how well if offsets, people can argue on here about the subject until teh cows come home.

if its second hand tho i would expect a focus to be cheaper than its equiv spec golf, lesser so the polo but it would still be on par.

on the other hand if your older, and are thinking of buying a reasonably expensive car or quick car, get something like a 1.8t polo as you have all the mod cons, in a top looking package that weighs less than a golf and is pretty rude

and then when you see sense you can stick the engine in the back of a mk1 polo
