Number plates

Featured Replies

I'm thinking about having a square number plate on the rear bumper on the lower part of the 6N bumper. If I put the lights underneath the top part of the bumper and the plate on the bottom, is it legal?

Also, is having my numper plate in the windscreen at the top on the passenger side, legal or pass MOT??

Thanks

front number plate needs to be at the most forward point of the car for motty...

and to the number plate light on the back i think that will be fine so long as the light does not point backwards towards cars behind,as in it faces down and only lights up the numberplate you should be fine mate

Jamie

make the light point down towards the number plate. and make sure its the right size number plate

front one has to be like said, at the most forward point

you put it on your sunvisor or dashboard then it'l fail MOT and is illegal

I've had a look at the DVLA and it doesn't say anything about where it has to be positioned (?????)

A square number plate all lit up is legal just to clarify?

Edit: Spelling :(

Yes as long as the light is shining down and not up or out behind you. The plate on my mk2 is square, offset and right down level with the exhaust and is perfectly legal...........now ;)
