Hey, i have just aquired a mk3 Golf GL, 3dr..

She is an immaculate burgundy one with 52k on the clock (i checked HPI etc), vinyl checkered roof (in black and white)

Lowered 60mm all round on spax

some tidy 15" BBS rims in gold - which I'm looking to sell with good tyres (offers?)

even tidier 17" BBS rims - which I'm keeping

its only a 1.9 flat diesel (bought cos i travel 60miles a day)

and shes a lil sluggish, any easy mods to make her go a little better?

i paid £450 for all this, is that good or not? will post pics on saturday if I'm home..

Give it a good service will help as much as anything else, failing that, up the fuelling a bit (warning, don't overdo it, and you can end up with lots of soot and using more fuel).

£450 sounds like a nice buy.

before i bought it the guy MOT'd it and serviced it, even put a new radiator and cam belt on it, you should see how mint the engine bay looks, looks like new!

oh.. how do you 'up the diesel' thingy?

What. just like put a cold air intake or just a nice k&n? I've read that putting different air filters on diesels makes them lumpy and not run right.. i will try it though, any idea where to get one for a 1.9 flat diesel Golf? or will a universal one be as good?
