1980 late model Mk1

Regretably the polo is gonna have to go! :(

a few months ago i went looking to buy a winter car so i could put the Beetle away for winter, to cut a long story short i ended up buying the polo. i was just gonna drive it throught the winter but the sunroof started leaking and now i just dont want to waste it!

Its a 1980 late model Mk1, 985cc, 76,000 miles, really clean black and white check interior (houndstooth?) no rips, original Motorola sterio, period speakers. I am the third owner on the log book, the second owner was the car dealer i bought the car from. The original dealer keyring and sticker still in the back window (Volksauto Forfar). Lowered 90mm at the front with 80mm shock and spring kit with lowering top caps and adjustable rear shock and springs just a few months ago. Cant remember the brand, can find out if needed. 13x7 Smoor Roadsters, two new Pirrelli P6000 on the rear with a nice stretch Dunlop somethins on the front, plenty o tread but the sidewall has some due to the back arches. Now the not so good stuff. Both front wings would need to be fixed or repaired tere is rust on the front panel, i havn't taken the bumper off so unsure whats under there. sun roof leaks. There is a whole below the windscreen and there is some rust underneath the rear window. i will try and get pics of the worst bits tomorow. Anything else just shout, will be at Bathgate on Sunday at the club stand. Looking for £1600 ono. Will wap or PX for a Mk2 16v Golf.

This is when i first got it
