normally its funny to see how much of a tail back you can cause but that was actualy one of the most stressful drives of my life!

I feel more embarrassed for the idiots in their corsa's, saxo's or whatever they drive that go stupidly slow and at angles over speed bumps near me and they are near enough standard height.

My car catches on the speed bumps, on the ones into uni the whole underside between the wheels just draaaaaaags along them.

I dont give a fuck to be honest, i just get on over them and let it bang and scrape all it wants, everything is well tucked away under my car so nothings gonna get ripped off, and it aint like my cars a minter. All my passengers freak about the noise and bangin, but i just tell them to chill.

Saw a guy driving a Corsa in the town centre today crack his front bumper on a speed bump.

They were the type that in a standard car you aim to get wheels either side of it. He tried it, and it didn't work.

At my work there are 3 speedbumps on the road down to it so not only do I hold up the traffic (I don't care normally just the parents of the kids I'm teaching to swim ) but I always make sure I scrape on the same bit of the speed bump so it'll soon wear low enough for me to go over it faster Then there are the pot holes in the gravel bit of the car park that I swing my car around on to park on the tarmac, even our volvo bottoms out on those it's fun trying to judge how deep then are when they are full of water

As for cambered roads :( they always catch me out, I think the road is just the right level to go fast on then the exhaust and floor scrape on the road, makes me cringe On normal roads in my area I can tell my passenger where its going to scrape or bottom out as I know the bad roads so well

The only reasons I won't raise my car are that I like the way it handles when its lowered and that it looks soooo much better with my wide wheels. Also my mate from work isn't anywhere near as low as me (lowest point on the car) and he's slammed his mk4 golf on coilovers and I'm dropped 60/40 on 175/50/13s any lower and I'd have to park down the road and walk to work

I've only had my car two days and know what you mean.

I got laughed in the face by the security guard at work this morning as i had to park my car outside of the gates because i couldnt get over the speed hump. Its huge, and I'm not joking. Lots of peoples cars scrape on it. Anyhow I now carry some pieces of wood with me to get over it.

i find it funny wen i hold up the traffice going into college as i have to basically stop and then go over the speed bumps diagonally lol I've had about 9 cars at the most behind me waiting for me to hurry up lol

and 1 of the main roads going into town has pot holes all over the place so anyone behind me ends up with a spray of sparks haha or wondering why I'm all over the road tryin 2 dodge them haha

i got stopped once when i was decked in my mk3 polo...

the copper asked me why i was swerving slightly?

i just replied as cool as anything 'preventitive maintenence' he just laughed, breathalised me then let me go...

Since decking mine to the floor i've removed 2 cats eyes overtaking people which is an interesting noise! "kathwack!" and when i'm running the 13 by 8's the bolts from the exhaust drag an create sparks! its all about being low people laugh at me i laugh harder at them back! which leads to interesting situations! with the steelies on i can get over most speed bumps with a bit of a grind but i did get stuck in the multistorie carpark a lil while ago sort of beached myself on the ramp and had to back out of the place......... that to made me very popular!

You know its bad when you have to explain to your girlfriend that you HAVE to drive 20min on back roads to drop her off because its quicker then driving down the speed bump ridden road to her house which "normal" cars can do in 5 min.

i dout the roads are that much smoother tbh you always see them on highways, which like our motorways are relativly smooth, and ofcourse they have speedbumps! there only lower as they ride on air/hydros

I believe Mk3's have driveshaft problems, you need to cut out a little insert (not looking forward to doing that to mine :( ) 6n's don't as far as I can see, I'm all the way down on ta technix coilies in my valver and there is no driveshaft problems with that.

I'm curently driving around a standard height mk5 polo as my mk3s dead atm, its quite fun hooning around without having to play find the pothole

its funny when u drive a lowered car u seem to have a 6th sense for pot holes

i was thinking about lowering my mk4 obviously! but this one tickled me. 6th sense thing...priceless.
