Bump! Can't believe this is still sat here in the garage :?

People can't drive it away if it isn't taxed..?

true and it looks like its had an engine swap(do D.V.L.A know new number?) and its no rear graphics so has is had a rear end/re-spray?

Buy some with the day insurance certificate? What I always do..

Err, why has it had an engine swap? Looks pretty identical to the 1043cc beast on my drive

To answer the latest amazing questions...

Teresa - I'm not insured on the vehicle so i can't tax it myself, surely if someone was wanting to use it they would be able to tax it with their insurance certificate!?

Mrpolo - What makes you say its had an engine swap? As far as I'm aware its the original engine. If you're going by the engine code on the cambelt cover then that was there when i bought the car. The rear polo badge was broken, and has now been replaced. All paintwork/bodywork is also original to the best of my knowledge.

aau code on belt cover looks like the sort of thing scrappers do so they know engine type/size(I would have wanted to know why its got that on the cam belt cover even if I'd only paid £50 for the car), as for decals it should have a boulevard badge next to the polo badge on the hatch and boulevard decals on both rear panels.

So both relevant questions as the lads after a cheap run about, not a load of trouble.

Cheers.

I've also known old school garages stick that on the cambelt cover so they know what engine they're dealing with, not everyone is a polo engine code expert. I also know what badges it should have, and if you look very closely theres the outline of the boulevard one on the tailgate!I didn't remove them, and have no idea why they aren't there!

If you're trying to make out the car is dodgy then you're wrong. I'm more than happy for anyone to come and look at the car. I've been on here for over 6 years selling bits and pieces and never had any problems,i don't intend to change now!

OK. My apology's to you, just wanted to make sure about the car before talking to him about it, as I'm sure you would understand it doesn,t matter how cheap it is if its gonna end up a money pit.

Cheers.
