I had my MOT done today, had a real hard time

Failed for a number of reasons

1. Nearside front door cannot be opened from the out side

2. Offside front door does not open from out side.

3. Front wiper (stops center)

Point 1. Passenger door is flush, de-locked and has no handle, it does not have a popper it can only be opened from the inside handle

Point 2. Has Audi 80 handle with de-lock and can be opened but with a little force.

Point 3. wiper is single wiper conversion and swipes the whole front scren and stops in the center of the windscreen.

Please could some one help me, I'm not to sure if they can fail me on the above. I have 10 days to return to the test station and don’t want the hassle or the time to changing my doors and wiper, although I think the single wiper is adjustable to align to be come flat.

Any help would be appreciated

I'm sure your doors have to be able to be opened from the outside in case of emergency?!

as for the wiper, probably marked it down as it might be in your field of view?

yes those are all instant fails. Normally when people remove the door handles they put solenoids in with buttons under the wing mirrors which open the doors. The windscreen wiper will need resetting so it rests at the bottom.

i work at a garage and i could askabout the door handles, as for the wiper they have to settle at the bottom of the windscreen, i am always helpin with mot's. do u have some sort of door opening remote for the doors

Its because if you have an accident. Poeple wont be able to gain access to get you out if your unconcious and the wiper yer it has to sit at the bottom and must do a full sweep of the windscreen at a sertain speed i think I'm not 100 percent sure on speed one but i no the wiper must sit at the bottom automaticly.

Thanks for all the reply's, i rang VOSA yesterday, and they confirmed that i have to have a mechanism on the flush door, they said it can be any sort of devise or macahnisam as long as it can open the passanger door from the out side.

i also mentioned the wiper, they said it has to rest on eather side but cannot be center.

i have a Clifford alarm but i have programed the boot to open with a soliniod, so I'm going to have to use a switch under the mirror.
