HELP !!!!!!!!!! plz :-) I Have a 1996 (N) Polo Saloon (100bhp) and i think the gearbox is gubbed ! It is not letting me select 1st, 2nd or reverce and they are all on the same side. I have been phoning around and these things are rarer then hens teeth ! I need help on finding one and the price and also if there are any other ones that are interchangable ? The number that i found on the gearbox is CJF 1303 6 with 14 1 underneath. there was also a number 27 that i saw. plz help :-D cheers

If they've all stopped working at the same time. The problem could be the linkage rather than the gearbox itself. The same engine and gearbox were also fitted to some mk3 golfs, so that should widen your search a bit. A gearbox from a standard 1.6 tall block/1.8 CL mk3 golf would also be ok
