i got my 13inch classics from rim style i have to run the fronts with a 5mm spacer to stop them catching the caliper, so yes hes kind of right... however mines an 8v and yours is a 16v. i beleiver the 16v's have bigger calipers, is that correct?

I'm not too sure wether they do or not :paranoid:... although I'm curious to know coz I'm fancying some 13" and would be a bit poo if i couldnt have them....

Sorry to say but you won't get 13's to clear valver brakes without mahoosive spacers, which I wouldn't recommend trying

:-( okie dokie cheers for that....glad i didnt go ahead and order them

I'm running 13X8 Alley cat's on my Polo, it's a 95 1.6CL with solid disks, i had to grind a bit off of the width on the caliper to clear the inner face of the wheels but diameter wise there is loads of clearance.

I have dropped it about 20mm more since taking these pics.

that looks cool but you need to be super low to pull off 13's on these :)
