Need a new one for my 1.4CL as mine has split. Are there many different types from different models? Do they all have the same fitment? Would prefer something with a shorter shaft and sportier look if possible. Want OEM, no aftermarket stuff as I'm NOT going to mod this much as it just my runabout as I have a Golf GTI 16V that's been modded!

i had a golf mk 4 leather one on my 16v and before that it had a 6n2 polo one the golf one seamed to sit slightley lower and looked better

Got one from the dealers-think it's from a Lupo and other models-most are interchangeable. Looks pretty good-will get some pics of it shortly.
