Hi All,

Just got round to fitting some new front door speakers, however the left interior door panel now rattles horribly even @ quite low volume.

Is there any way to sort this out? i was thinking of padding out the panel (for some reason old socks instantly came to mind!). has anyone had any experience of doing this and has it worked? or can anyone think of a better idea?

Is the doorcard definately fitted properly? Did you screw the speakers in with some self tappers? Try removing the doorcard see if the rattle is still there.

dynamatt is the best thing the stop it or for a cheap alternative try brown bread (no not the loaf kind lol) search e-bay or pop down to halfords think they sell it

by the way...with dynamatt, has anyone here noticed any of the supposedly audio enhancing qualities? (according to the blurb: "a solid non-resonant speaker baffle that eliminates distortion and drastically improves mid-bass performance.")

Sounds a bit rich to me...but the new speakers do seem annoyingly light in the old bass dept so that could be good

anyone have any tips on increasing the bass output via padding etc? (short of installing new audio components)

Dynamat DOE make a difference...I've done some on just the boot floor of my megane, and alreay its improved, still got boot sides, doors and roof to do yet too!

well, got hold of some dynamatt the other day. hauled the door card off in order to fit the stuff and i then found 15p in the speaker cavity. I think that may have been the root of the problem lol....anyway, the sound is better now but there is still quite a bit of rattle that i've located coming from the glass pane.

does anyone know any tips to combat the glass rattling?
