Wow, that's meeeaan.

Are the lights on that HIDs with the projector lense or with anti-glare bulbs?

And what temperature (K) ?

:)

Those are HID's dont think he was running them in projectors or anti-glare bulbs (but better of asking to be sure).

By K the higher the K the more blue the light is. Foxie's were 8K.

(6k seems to be the one most people go for, its more of a white colour and give out more light apparently, or so I've been told)

Search for "Little Man" in the classifieds section, theres pics of the different K bulbs

what about fitting HIDS to a mk3 ? I know a couple of people have done it as seen earlier today but forgot to ask! I need to upgrade mine. Normal beam seems very dull! I have to drive everywhere on main beam.

Those are through projectors, 8000K I believe.

vwmk3jon, I've heard you shouldn't run HIDs through standard frosted lamps because the beam pattern is said to be shit. Never tried it myself though so can't really comment. I know D9OLO runs them through projector headlights, probably the best way to have them on a mk3.

It's worth building an uprated wiring loom before you start looking at fitting an HID kit. Not a difficult job, surprisingly, and with a set of good quality uprated bulbs (Philips Vision Plus are good, X-Treme Power are supposed to be even better) you'll probably have a decent set of lights which won't cause you problems come MOT time or blind other drivers.

i've never really got the whole number of hid things. what do the numbers correspond to?

and where can i get projector headlights for a 6n 16v? or Are they just angel ones?

i'm CONFUSED.com. lol

You can get other lights for the 6N that don't have angel eyes, but they seem to be LHD ones. Migyht get away with them if you adjust the beam though?

The no. thing is easy. It relates to the colour of the light and the lower the number the bright the light. They normally start at about 4000/4300k

4000k-yellow white

6000k-white

8000k-blue white

10000k-blue

12000k-mauve
