Well to be fair your plates are illegal so what do you expect? Would you expect the police to come after you if you stole a car? Because both are crimes...

are all pressed plates illegal I'm guessin yours are pressed?

uk font and gb strip pressed plates ftw, never been pulled for them, been pulled twice while theyve been on, nothing ever mentioned about them,

yea I'm trying to hide it and I've been pulled twice befor with them on but nothing was eva said about them

You got off lightly with a 30 quid fine for illegal wheels and plates tbh

How can you hate them when you're in the wrong and they were sound with you?

LOL@ this thread. You did something illegal and they stop and fine you for it and they are the bad guys? FAIL.

I got pulled the other night for having the trailer in lane 3 of the m6. It's not something I'd normally do, but I was going past some wagons that were elephant racing up a hill, yeah, it was quiet and no one was getting held up, but at the end of the day I was in the wrong.

Net result: 3points (just got 3 off as well), £60 fine. Yeah, they could have let me go, but at the same time they could probably have found something else, so I'm putting it down to win some lose some.

Made a mistake, said sorry, got punished, felt pissed off for a bit (cheers for putting up with me in a really shit mood for the rest of the drive home Char!) and will try not to do it again, end of.

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Well said re the above.

At the end of the day they are only doing their job...

On the illegeal wheel subject.. they stick out too much? Whats the 'legal' they can stick out? lol

Top of the tire has to be inside of the arch.

i didnt say i wernt in the wrong all i was saying is that all the times I've been pulled and theve never said anything its just pissed me off that it was today wen i didnt need the hold up

You're lucky you don't get trolled by them and pulled for no reason like a lot of other people have to deal with

At the end of the day, they were sound with you, complimented your polo and you only got a £30 fine for summit that's illegal

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

pointless rant imo.....

you were in the wrong at the end of the day not them.....

So they complimented your car and didn't prosecute you for dangerous/careless driving (as they are perfectly within their right to do).

I would consider that a win myself!

Weird, I got pulled over last night. I was in a really knackered old Subaru Justy. doing 40 in a 30. He let me off thankfully. I'm glad he didnt check the lights or the tyres.

He was just doing his job and was a sound copper. I was only in the justy because i was going to a bonfire. Had I been in the polo I might have been going a bit quicker and with the pressed plates.

When they pull you over next, at a time suitable for you, point the illegal things out

If you're lucky you'll get a nice 3 points per illegal wheel.

I was just sat there in the car wondering how much tread the spare had on it, and if there was a jack and a wheel brace. I made sure I turned the lights off when I stopped. I was lucky because I dont usually think that fast when I've had more than 5 pints. :D ...

...just kidding.

So you're saying it would have been better if they had fined you for your plates and tyres on all those other occasions they pulled you over too? Because they could have - I think you could consider yourself lucky that they've not done you for these things before.

It's easy to jump on the bandwagon.

Yeah he's in the wrong, yeah he posted a pointless thread, but you'd still be a bit peeved if it happened to you no matter what. :D

I'm going to import a tonne of cannabis into the country, hopefully they wont catch me. I will be annoyed if they do though
