My r6 that i used to have could pop flames

I guess one way to see if it would work would be to get one of those camping stove starters - you know, they are about 15cm long and produce a spark (not a flame) when the button is pressed. And armed with that, stick it in the end of the exhaust and spark it wile a chum gives it some beans on the throttle. If it'll flame, it should from doing that right?

Mate, you say you want to stand out a bit - to be brutally honest it WOULD stand out, but for the wrong reasons. Most people who go to VW shows are types who are trying to get away from crappy, tacky mods like these, something which the VW scene is renouned for.

If your car had a flame kit it would probably be somewhat of a laughing stock...

I wouldn't personally go for the kit if you are intending to take it to VW shows though, can't imagine it will be that well received.

This would simply test to see if it'd work before splashing out on the kit.

leave your car as it is i would advise... but its your choice... however if you can do it without a kit i think it looks amazing, i got overtaken by a car once and it flamed as it went past, like stayed lit for a while aswell lol, looked well ace... but that was a powerhouse, and your exhaust being hot enough to ignite the fuel i think that does that... a crappy kit isnt really gonna suit the polo scene, it seems most are about style and stance and how clean it is...

seems flame kits are always associated with the idiots in corsas and fiestas that drive like idiots... just my view anyway =] if you do go for it, let us know how it gos!

go for it buddy, cause either way all the guys commenting will probably have there mobiles out filming the flames rolling out from your exhaust, and if it all goes wrong it will be an amazing video for youtube.....I personally love exhaust with flamers

I agree. Mine is only doing it when i touch the redline probably not good but i do get some random looks from some people
