Hey first of all I’m new to this site so go easy on me if i show my ignorance :-) I’m looking into getting a Polo GTI, the ones built between 00 and 02 like the one in the link below for example....

Any tips in what to look for like fault wise or possible problems in these models or plus points i should really go for. Any help is gratefully received.

If you're looking at buying a Gti, make sure you take it for a test drive and ensure it enagages every gear. the gearboxes are known to fail, costing a small fortune to fix!
